Itinerary

ITINERARY

DAY 1

Dar es Salaam – Drive to Mikumi.

Early morning pickup from your Dar es Salaam hotel for the scenic 4–5 hour drive to Mikumi, with a stop en route for refreshments. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive across the Mkata floodplain.

DAY 2

Mikumi – Full Day Game Drive.

A full day exploring Mikumi's plains and waterholes by 4x4, covering the areas most productive for lion and elephant sightings. Picnic lunch in the park. Overnight remains in Mikumi.

DAY 3

Mikumi to Ruaha.

Morning game drive followed by the overland transfer toward Ruaha (Standard tier) or a scenic light-aircraft transfer (Signature/Premium tiers, saving a full driving day). Afternoon arrival and orientation game drive into Ruaha's baobab country.

DAY 4

Ruaha – Full Day Game Drive.

A full day tracking Ruaha's resident lion prides and searching the riverbeds for elephant, kudu, and the park's notable birdlife. Picnic lunch in the bush.

DAY 5

Ruaha – Morning Game Drive & Return.

A final sunrise game drive before departure — by road (Standard) or scheduled flight (Signature/Premium) — back to Dar es Salaam, timed to connect with onward travel or international departure.
